This EVENT IS FREE TO WATCH in person in the RR Hodges Chapel at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. (Doors open at 6 PM) If you cannot attend in person you can register to watch the event via simulcast. Only those registered will be able to view the broadcast.

Coach Mark Richt


Mark Richt currently serves as a studio analyst for the ACC Network. Prior to his time with the ACC Network/ESPN, Richt served as head football coach at the University of Miami and the University of Georgia. Richt, a tremendous football coach, and member of the College Football Hall of Fame,  compiled a 145-51 overall record and an 85-40 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Georgia won two SEC championships, six SEC East titles and nine bowl games under Richt, and finished the season in the Associated Press Top-10 rankings seven times. Come hear the triumph in his life even with a current struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Riley Gaines


Riley Gaines, a 12 time All-American swimmer with 5 SEC titles was a successful female swimmer at University of Kentucky with ambitions to pursue a dental degree. That post-graduate ambition and her entire life was changed when she was forced to share a locker room and then compete against biological male at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship.

This uneven challenge, not just for Riley but for every woman competing in the pool that day, was made even more traumatic when the NCAA officials insisted on giving the trophy to the biological male. Come hear how God is bringing triumph to her life and encouraging others to not only stand up for their beliefs but to do so with love.

Michael Oher, Founder of the Oher Foundation, is a heartfelt storyteller, NFL Super Bowl Champion, and the inspiration behind the hit movie The Blind Side. His incredible journey from the streets of Memphis, where he faced the challenges of poverty and homelessness, to becoming a first-round NFL Draft pick is a story of perseverance, resilience, and determination.  Come here how poverty and challenges are no match for the power of God!

Currently in production, the Tragedy Into Triumph Docuseries will take the power of storytelling to a whole new level.  Everyday billions of people flock to streaming platforms looking for something that will bring joy to their lives.  Each 8 episode season will be told with the highest quality and integrity with people from all walks of life.  Some you will recognize and others you will not but all stories will lead to the power and grace of Jesus Christ.  

Triumph groups are forming with the docuseries so that as people watch the series they will find groups to help them know Christ and learn to live triumphant lives.  You can find information about Triumph groups.
